Wassaic Project welcomes Moosh Moosh to Creative Advisory Committee

NEW YORK, New York — May 25, 2011– Moosh Moosh CEO Stephen Clemmer has accepted an invitation to join the Creative Advisory Committee for The Wassaic Project, a sustainable, artist-run, multidisciplinary, non-profit arts organization that focuses on community engagement and facilitates artistic development, exhibition, and discussion.

Clemmer serves on the committee with innovators from both the arts and business communities to coordinate growth and foment success for the Wassaic Project’s annual banner event, The Wassaic Project Summer Festival.

Wassaic Project Music Director Scott Anderson notes that, “each member of the Creative Advisory Committee has a hand in and love for music, and contributes his or her management, production, publishing, label, and press experience toward our success.”

Clemmer first collaborated with the Wassaic Project as a member of the 2010 Summer Festival audio engineering team, an undertaking which Anderson says, “granted Stephen insight as to which music befits our festival culture.”

“By virtue of his work in New York City, Clemmer meets and interacts with numerous artists who exhibit the potential to play well at Summer Festival; plus his ability to advise the Wassaic Project on equipment and on event structure, his willingness to share his expertise, and his commitment to the people, place, and spirit of Wassaic make him a welcome addition to the Creative Advisory Committee.”

Asked what attracts him to the Wassaic Project, Clemmer says, “I don’t know where else people wake up having camped right next to their favorite band, engage in lunchtime conversation over a piece of ground breaking art, and discover a whole new sound before sacking out to do it again the next day.”

Last year’s Summer Festival drew more than 2500 attendees, featured over 100 visual artists, performing artists, and filmmakers, and on two stages showcased 25 bands including She Keeps Bees, Pearl & The Beard, Pink Skull, and The Luyas.

2011 marks the fourth year of Summer Festival, with the Wassaic Project preparing to receive a record 3500 attendees.  “As a free exchange of new art and ideas with a backdrop of live cutting edge music, Wassaic Project Summer Festival imparts a powerful collective experience to thousands of people,” says Clemmer.

Stephen Clemmer studied Contemporary Writing and Production at Berklee College of Music, Music Industry and Logistics at Northeastern University, and holds a degree from the University of Massachusetts in the Study of Religion, which have shaped his understanding of how culture, values, and collective experience influence consumer practices.

Moosh Moosh joins with feline to assist NYC comedian

NEW YORK CITY – May 3, 2011 - When the veterinary clinic informed Amy Beckerman that her cat Steve required immediate and costly surgery to remove bladder stones, Beckerman lamented that she could foresee no other option but to euthanize her six-year-old rescue.

A resourceful kitty, Steve called up his buddies at Moosh Moosh and told them they were going to throw a party, “Steve Saves Steve: A Benefit to Save My Fuzzy Butt.

“We at Moosh Moosh are passionate about our animal friends and were honored to have assisted Steve the cat with organizing the fundraiser.” says Stephen Clemmer, CEO of Moosh Moosh.  “When the artistic community and business community share a value, everyone wins.  We came together to enjoy a fantastic evening and provided the support to ensure Steve received immediate help.”

The evening was consecrated by American Folk revivalist Daniel Goodman, whose debut was produced by much esteemed drummer, producer Anton Fier.

On the eve of her departure, Australian singer-song writer and animal lover, Greta Gertler treated the crowd to a sneak-peek of her west coast American tour with The Universal Thump.

The second half of the evening featured 2 artists produced by Grammy award winning founder of Ollabelle, Jimi Zhivago.  Up-and-coming songstress Jenna Nicholls left no soul unturned with song writing and presence delivered as a time capsule from the golden age of pop before feature performer Chris Riffle, fresh from the attention of the Grammy committee for Best Contemporary Folk Album, delivered the audience back to the present.

Admission to the April 30th concert of New York City mainstays was free, staged upstairs at the iconic Living Room on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.  Event guests and generous donors enabled Steve’s operation by participating either during the event or via Paypal for prizes including gift certificates to animal friendly Pet Central, and chocolatier Cocoa V,  and several New York City vegan eateries: BlossomBlossom Du JourCaravan of DreamsLoving HutRed BambooSacred Chow, S’nice, Soy & SakeTerri and Tiengarden.

Moosh Moosh launches Studio B

NEW YORK CITY – March 20, 2011 – Recognizing that studio price is a significant budgetary factor for any recording project, Moosh Moosh is pleased to introduce its alternative, Studio B.

Studio B parallels full-service studio production for songwriting, demo, and voice over sessions, and facilitates sound design, editing, and mixing at reduced cost to clients who would otherwise pay to use an over-equipped studio.

“While Studio B can carry many projects to completion, some projects may necessitate resources beyond those we offer, so inevitably these require that we coordinate time in a full-service studio environment,” says Moosh Moosh CEO Stephen Clemmer.

“However, if not all phases of a project necessitate full-service studio resources, Moosh Moosh will suggest that the client entrust to Studio B any portion of the project which we are equipped to deliver, providing full-service studio production value while reducing project overhead.”
